Kazakhstan boosted agricultural output 3.2% in H1 2023The agricultural production in Kazakhstan increased by 3.2% in Jan-June 2023 to reach 2.092 trillion tenge in value, the National Statistics Bureau of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms said.In the six months of this year, livestock production came to 1.992 trillion tenge in value or up 3.3% year over year, and crop production amounted to 79.3 billion tenge or up 1.8% from the same period of the previous year.In the first half-year, the number of cattle increased by 3.7% year over year to 10.285 million head.In January-June 2023, the number of horses grew by 8.4% to 4.436 million head, sheep by 4% to 24.610 million head, poultry by 1.2% to 49.856 million chickens, while the number of goats decreased by 1.1% to 2.826 million head, and pigs by 2.8% to 898,000 head.
