THE UPSTREAM OIL & GAS INDUSTRY IS TARGETING "GROSS REVENUE" OF IDR 560 TRILLION in 2023

The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) aims to increase the upstream oil and gas industry's gross revenue in 2023 to IDR 560 trillion, with a state share of IDR 238 trillion. The industry has a significant multiplier effect, with every US$1 spent having a 1.5-times impact on the upstream industry and a 3.9-times impact on the downstream industry. As of Q1 2023, the procurement value of the upstream oil and gas industry reached US$1.9 billion, with a domestic content level of 59.8%. The industry currently employs 150,000 workers, with around 20 thousand being SKK Migas employees and cooperation contract contractors. The government of Riau, Syamsuar, expressed support for the National Capacity Forum's efforts to build regional human resources and support the upstream oil and gas industry.The Riau Islands Provincial Government is also ready to collaborate on improving HR capabilities to support upstream oil and gas activities.
