Nearly 29 international firms relocated to Kazakhstan after pulling out of RussiaNeraly 30 international companies have completed their relocation from Russia to Kazakhstan, Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister Almas Aidarov said."Many companies have requested not to disclose their plans not to avoid any complications on their way out of the Russian market. Public companies traded on stock exchanges say that exposing their plans could affect stocks. At their request, we are not disclosing the information about 29 companies that have completed the relocation," Aidarov told a briefing on Thursday.Kazakh Invest CEO Meirzhan Yusupov noted that 72 companies operating in the Russian market signaled their interest in moving to Kazakhstan."The list continues to grow. The last time, there were 72 companies ready to move their production to Kazakhstan. There are companies that have decided to move, but they are still looking for a location, in the Kostanay region or Astana, for instance," Yusupov said.At the end of May, Deputy Minister Aidarov said that by that time 25 companies had moved their business to Kazakhstan, which had officially announced their withdrawal from Russia.Last July Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev urged the government to create favorable conditions for the relocation of companies leaving the Russian market.Last December Priem Minister Smailov said that 19 companies, which had left Russia, localized their production facilities and offices in Kazakhstan.
