AGOCO STOPS PIPELINE LEAKS AT AL-BAYDA AND MASALA AL-SARIR FIELDS – ALL fields operating normally”

The Media Office of the Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO) confirmed the occurrence of two leaks in the flow line linking the block station and the main pumping station in the Al-Bayda oil field, and another leak in the main line linking the Masala-Al-Sarir fields. It stated that the leaks were caused by corrosion.Pipeline leaks fixedIt explained that all safety measures were taken and that the leak sites were secured to work on fixing them by isolating the maintenance operations area. Engineers and technicians began to stop the leaks after maintaining the pipes. The valves were reopened, and the line was returned to work after ensuring that there was no leakage allowing the continuation of the pumping process to maintain production rates.Bengdara following up leak incidentsThe Media Office added that the head of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Farhat Bengdara, was following up on the incidents as soon as they were reported and was directly aware of the maintenance operations to restore production to its normal levels.All AGOCO fields are operating normallyThe AGOCO Media Office highlighted the full support that it receives from the NOC to enable it to maintain the current levels of production in its fields. It confirmed that all its fields are operating normally without interruption since the return of oil fields and ports to production and export.Contributing to increasing oil production to 2 mbpdRegarding the Arabian Gulf Oil Company’s contribution to achieving the plan to raise oil production to a ceiling of 2 million barrels per day, the Media Office said, “The Arabian Gulf Oil Company is seeking to achieve what is required of it to contribute to increasing production in the affiliated fields through the implementation of comprehensive and periodic maintenance plans and periodic oil exports, as well as the implementation of new projects in the fields and crude transport lines’’.
