GREECE AND BULGARIA ARE DISCUSSING THE INCREASE OF GRAIN TRANSIT FROM UKRAINE.

During a meeting in Athens on Monday, the Prime Ministers of Greece and Bulgaria, Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Nikolai Denkov, discussed the problem with the transit of Ukrainian grain resulting from Russia's withdrawal from the grain agreement and subsequent shelling of Ukrainian ports. The Bulgarian prime minister said in a conversation with journalists that the possibility of transporting Ukrainian grain by train through Bulgarian territory to Greek ports is being discussed but did not provide any details. According to Mediapool, the proposal was for Bulgarian trains to load grain at Ukraine's border with Romania and then transport it through Romanian and Bulgarian territory to Greece. At the same time, it is unclear which of the Bulgarian carriers will be able to transport this cargo due to the state rail carrier's shortage of locomotives and wagons. (ICE LEOPOLI)
