The European Commission (EC) has approved Poland's programme worth around EUR 47 million to support agricultural production in the context of Russia's war with Ukraine.The approved aid programme will support agricultural producers who are currently struggling with liquidity shortages due to the increase in seed prices.The Polish aid programme will be provided in the form of subsidies.The EC has concluded that the Polish scheme complies with the conditions set out in the EU's Temporary Crisis Framework. The aid offered will not exceed EUR 250,000 per beneficiary and will be granted no later than by December 31, 2023. (ICE VARSAVIA)
