During his participation in the conference organized by the United Nations in Rome, Lebanese Caretaker Minister of Agriculture, Abbas Hajj Hassan, met with the Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, QU Dongyu.  Minister Hajj Hassan explained the strategy of the Ministry of Agriculture to improve the sector in Lebanon, in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations "FAO", and discussed the projects that are being implemented in Lebanon in joint cooperation between the Ministry and the organization, in addition to the proposed projects.  In turn, Dongyu expressed his “support for Lebanon," considering it "a country that has a central role in the Middle East region," revealing that the organization always stands by countries in general and Lebanon in particular, in order to achieve food security, and promised to visit the region in the coming months.
