The Indonesian Capital City Authority (OIKN) has taken the initiative to issue guidelines for the development of international-standard smart cities, according to OIKN Deputy for Green and Digital Transformation Mohammed Ali Berawi. The IKN Nusantara smart city will be a pilot project for the minimum standard for the establishment of the first international standard for smart building guidelines. The smart building guide contains minimum terms and conditions for development, standards for advanced features, and other information. The master regulation process is still pending, but the initiative aims to establish a guide for smart buildings, including minimum requirements and features.The OIKN is executing smart infrastructure to build the smart system in tandem with physical development. The physical development could run if a multi-utility tunnel (MUT) was built, with fiber optic cables buried underground along with water pipelines and power cables. The best way to do this is by building a proof of concept for a technology house at IKN, which will open publicly at the end of next month.
