Local contractor Kuwait Arab Contractors Company (KACC) has started the construction for infrastructure works at South Sabah al-Ahmad City in Kuwait.In March, Kuwait’s Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) awarded a construction contract worth $368m to KACC.The project involves the construction of roads, utility services networks, rainwater tanks, freshwater networks, saline water networks and associated facilities.The implementation duration of the construction works is three years, according to the ministry notice.UK-based Foster + Partners has designed the masterplan for the South Sabah al-Ahmad township project. The scheme includes the construction of a residential development containing over 11,000 housing units. The South Sabah al-Ahmad project is based on an area of 6,150 hectares and is located 70 kilometres south of Kuwait. (ICE KUWAIT)
