The product costs IDR 13,500 per liter at 10 Surabaya public filling stations and 5 Jakarta petrol stations. Pertamax Green 95 sales are low, but bioethanol supply and ecological support are good. Pertamina blended biodiesel with diesel fuel from 2.5 percent in 2008 to 35%, or B35. Presidential Regulation Number 40 of 2023 on Acceleration of National Sugar Self-sufficiency and Provision of Bioethanol as Biofuel coincides with bioethanol mixing with gasoline. Biofuels are essential to reaching net zero emissions (NZE) by 2060. Implementing biofuels requires public affordability. The government and DPR are discussing the New Energy and Renewable Energy Bill (RUU EBET), which governs the early energy transition.
