South Sulawesi Governor Andi Sudirman Sulaiman has released 36 export commodities/products worth $98.33 million, totaling 49.96 thousand tonnes, to 34 destination countries. During the 354th anniversary of South Sulawesi, the South Sulawesi Trade Office exported mainstay goods worth IDR 1.43 trillion. The export volume of 1,034.66 tons and a value of $1.12 billion US dollars were exported, with a surplus of $542.82 million, or Rp. 7.92 trillion. The main South Sulawesi commodities exported for the January–June 2023 period include nickel, seaweed, carrageenan, fresh shrimp, and cocoa beans, mostly exported to Japan, China, Malaysia, the United States, and Vietnam. The export release activity was carried out in cooperation with the South Sulawesi Provincial Government through the Industry and Trade Office, with related agencies such as Bank BNI Regional Office 07, PT.
