Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) reported that oil and gas production in the Rokan Block reached 172,710 barrels of oil equivalent per day (BOPD), making it the highest in Indonesia. This achievement was achieved during the two-year anniversary of the transfer of management and the 66th anniversary of Riau Province. The highest oil and gas production figure in Indonesia was achieved due to the contributions of PHR workers, partners, policymakers, and Riau people. Massive drilling activities and dependable and safe performance were the driving forces behind the production achievement. Throughout 2023, PHR drilled 825 wells with 84 active drilling rigs, shortening drilling time by just five days. A positive trend of increasing PHR production has been observed since the end of July 2023, with production figures increasing from 167,645 BOPD to 169,282 BOPD.
