POLAND: THE GROWTH OF THE CONCRETE PREFABRICATION MARKET

By 2025, the value of the heavy concrete prefabrication market in Poland shall reach EUR 1,11 billion. Currently, it amounts to EUR 0.77 billion. Most prefabricated elements are used in construction of buildings. Further development of the market will depend, among others, on from the implementation of large investments announced by the government, including the construction of the Central Transport Hub (CPK). The largest segment of the heavy prefabrication market are elements used in construction of buildings, including footings and foundation beams, columns, beams, girders and stairs. The segment of ceilings and balconies is in second place, and the market of cubature walls is in third place.Only in fourth place are pre-stressed concrete railway sleepers, which - as indicated in the report - were in second place a few years ago. This decrease is attributed to the slowdown in investments carried out by PKP PLK.So far, bridge beams, platform slabs and walls, road and tram slabs, retaining walls and walls, and acoustic screens have a smaller share in the market.
