The Hama Tourism Directorate has completed the installation of 36 solar panels including its equipment, with the aim to provide electricity for craftsmen in the ancient Khan Rustam Pasha in the city of Hama.  The Director of Tourism, Eng. Yara Shartouh, stated that the project is built within plans to support artisans of handicraft and cultural heritage in Hama to aid them in securing electricity, noting that the number of workshops of the Khan is 31. She pointed out that the Directorate is working on developing a guidebook of all restaurants and hotels with documented photos and database of tourist attractions, hubs and places for future investments, which constitute opportunities, noting that there are 170 tourist facilities in the governorate, of which 122 have resumed work, in addition to 70 licensed touristic offices. She explained that the training courses for all specialties proceeded, in coordination with the General Authority for Tourism and Hotel Training, in order to help in refining the skills of workers.
