Monetary Policy Council (RPP) member Ireneusz Dąbrowski has commented on the latest data from Eurostat, which on Friday reported that in July 2023, the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) had reached 10.3 % in Poland. According to Dąbrowski, this indicates that Poland is getting closer to single-digit inflation. Earlier, Dąbrowski said that the RPP might consider cutting the interest rates in October 2023 and, in case of a rapid decline in inflation, already in September. (ICE VARSAVIA)
