According to the regulatory impact assessment of the draft regulation on the minimum wage in 2024, in 2022 the number of employees on the minimum wage reached ca. 3.6 million. According to the regulation, as of 1 January 2024 the minimum wage is to increase to PLN4,242 and as of 1 July 2024 – to PLN4,300. Experts note that the increase has an adverse impact on entrepreneurs as they must pay higher social security contributions to the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS). (ICE VARSAVIA)
