A ground-breaking deeptech company from Lithuania has been chosen to spearhead EU research in a key area of science – storing data using DNA. Genomika Lietuva, based at Tech-Park Kaunas, has won more than EUR 5 million under the EU’s flagship Pathfinder scheme. The company aims to create the world’s first DNA-based hard disk within three years.Combining AI, bioinformatics, robotics, and DNA nanotechnology, Genomika’s research is a giant leap for technology – and another demonstration of the world-class potential of Lithuania’s life science sector.
