The LCEC is proud to announce that a joint ministerial decision by both the Minister of Energy and Water and the Minister of Finance is now issued: the decision is in line with article 72 of the national budget law and states that all renewable energy products imported into Lebanon are exempted from all kinds of taxes. This crucial decision is the result of a long process of coordination initiated by the LCEC with officials from both ministries and in full cooperation with the Higher Council of Customs. The decision specifically mentions that the decrease in prices should be in the benefit of the final consumers.
