President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Thursday at the Mejlisler Hall of theGovernment Residence in Dushanbe met with Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda and confirmed thereadiness to carefully consider the possibility of implementing the first pilot project to establish a textilefactory in Tajikistan with the participation of Turkmen companies.The sides discussed the development of economic cooperation, including bilateral trade ties, expandingthe range of mutually supplied goods, and increasing the volume of export-import operations. Tocoordinate this work, President Berdimuhamedov proposed to start the practical implementation of theproject of creating trading houses in the capitals of both countries, the official Turkmen media reported.During his two-day state visit to Tajikistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Prime Minister KohirRasulzoda and discussed several identified areas of the interstate dialogue, particularly in the transportsector.President Berdimuhamedov emphasized Turkmenistan's commitment to developing regional andinternational cooperation in the field, and proposed the establishment of new transport and transitcorridors between the two countries, connecting Central and South Asia to the Middle East.The Prime Minister expressed his confidence that the talks held the day before and the agreementsreached would contribute to the further expansion of cooperation that benefits both countries.Upon their meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and the Prime Minister of Tajikistan exchanged goodwishes and expressed their confidence in the successful continuation of their friendly and mutuallybeneficial relationship between the two brotherly peoples.
