Kazakhstan and Turkey carrying out 36 projects worth over $2.8 bln - TokayevPresident of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to discuss economic cooperation between the two countries, the presidential press service said in a statement on Monday.“Investment cooperation is actively developing between the two countries. Turkey is one of the ten largest investors in Kazakhstan. As many as 36 projects worth over $2.8 billion are now underway. We believe that there are very good prospects for cooperation between the two countries,” Tokayev is quoted as saying.The Kazakh president said that Turkey is one of the four largest trading partners of Kazakhstan. The mutual trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Turkey grew by 54% in 2022 to come to $6.3 billion in value, and this figure is expected to reach $10 billion in the near future, he added.
