BALI TUNA EXPORTS REACHED IDR 502.2 BILLION, THE MAJORITY OF WHICH WAS ABSORBED by the US

The Denpasar Fish Quarantine, Quality Control, and Safety of Fishery Products (BKIPM) Center reported that Bali Province exported tuna worth IDR 502.2 billion in the first semester of 2023, with most of it absorbed by the United States market. Acting Head of BKIPM Denpasar Anwar expressed optimism that exports will continue to increase due to high demand. However, the realization is lower than the same period in 2022, which reached IDR 630 billion. The COVID-19 pandemic influenced export traffic, but restrictions on mobility between countries have eased since 2020. In the first six months of 2023, tuna export traffic from Bali reached 4,679 tons, a decrease from 6,590 tons in 2022. The United States absorbed 2,827 tons, controlling 46% of the total volume, with a value of IDR 363 billion. Australia, Japan, and other countries also absorbed tuna exports from Bali. In 2022, tuna export traffic from Bali is expected to reach 13,660 tons, with an export value of IDR 1.27 trillion. The United States is the largest absorber of tuna fish exports from Bali, with realization reaching 6,713 tons and an export value of IDR 841.8 billion.Link di fonte: https://www.antaranews.com/berita/3731874/ekspor-tuna-bali-capai-rp5022-miliar-yang-dominan-diserap-as (ICE GIACARTA)
