The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) is optimistic about the completion of the Bronang Gas Project, which aims to boost national gas production. SKK Migas and Cooperation Contract Contractor Medco E&P Natuna Ltd. completed the project, which is a part of the Bronang Field development project. The Bronang Platform, a green platform powered by solar panels, is expected to increase production from both offshore and onshore fields. SKK Migas has previously targeted 11 upstream oil and gas projects to be in production or on stream by 2023, with most expected to come on stream in the third and fourth quarters of 2023. The projects are expected to increase production capacity by 19,077 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and 454 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (MMSCFD). The Forel Bronang project, operated by Medco Natuna, is expected to produce 10,000 BOPD and 43 MMSCFD.
