Kazakhstan pursues legally sound cooperation mechanisms with Russian companiesKazakhstan complies with the recommendations of the EU and the United States when organizing joint production with Russia,   Azamat Panbayev, Chairman of the Industrial Development Committee of the Ministry of Industry, said."We collaborate with the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Trade, consult the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and follow EU and US guidance to shape a legal framework for joint production activities that steer clear of any potential harm,” Panbayev told a Monday said briefing at the INNOPROM.QAZAQSTAN  international exhibition in Astana.Panbayev acknowledged the presence of Russian companies under sanctions at the exhibition.“It would be wrong to say that we are cooperating with sanctioned companies. Instead, we are actively seeking and establishing cooperation mechanisms in line with the international law,” he said.In July 2023, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Almas Aidarov stated that Kazakhstan does not currently anticipate sanctions and is committed to maintaining an open dialogue with Western partners while monitoring the situation closely.
