An analysis titled “Characteristics of transaction processes in Poland” carried out by KPMG in Poland shows that in 2020-2022 Poland ranked first in Central and Eastern Europe both in terms of the number of M&A transactions (Mergers and acquisitions) and their value. The analysis also shows that in 2022 the value of transactions reached its highest level in a decade, i.e. PLN74.9bn. Meanwhile, investment motives vary by investor type. Amng strategic investors, 40 percent of respondents ranked the acquisition of a customer portfolio/distribution channel as the top investment motive. (ICE VARSAVIA)
