POLAND: 12 PROJECTS SUBMITTED TO CEF MILITARY MOBILITY

Entities from Poland submitted 12 applications in the third competition of the Connecting Europe Military Mobility Facility announced by the European Commission in cooperation with the Executive Agency for Climate, Environment, and Infrastructure. The list includes proposals for railways, roads, airports, and seaports.The total value of the projects submitted is EUR 733 million, and the requested amount from CEF Military Mobility is nearly EUR 367 million.Railway infrastructure regarding 4 applications, all submitted by PKP PLK and related to the reconstruction of: Gliwice Łabędy station, railway line No. 12 Skierniewice - Łuków (bridge over the Vistula), line No. 8 on the Sędziszów - Kozłów section and line No. 12 Puszcza Mariańska - Mszczonów.4 applications concerning aviation infrastructure regard: a new runway for Kraków-Balice Airport, improving aprons at Chopin Airport, rescue and fire-fighting infrastructure in Katowice-Pyrzowice, and similar project for the Wrocław-Strachowice.GDDKiA is applying for funds for a dual-use section of the S12 expressway from the Chełm bypass to Teosin, while the city of Szczecin wants to improve access roads to the port. The seaport of Gdynia applies for funds to build an intermodal connection to the terminal in the logistics center, and the Port of Szczecin-Świnoujście, applies for the development of the railway transshipment hub in Ostrów Grabowski.Recruitment for the third CEF Military Mobility competition ended on September 21. The total budget of the competition is EUR 790 million, and the co-financing level is a maximum of 50%. eligible costs.
