Kuwait’s Public Authority for Roads & Transportation (Part) received offers this month for the study and detailed design work for phase one of the country’s planned Kuwait National Rail Road (KNRR) project.The bidders are Lebanon’s Dar al-Handasah (Shair & Partners), France’s Systra, Spain’s Typsa, France’s Egis, Lebanon’s Khatib & Alami, Spain’s Sener, Turkey’s Pro Yapi and China’s China Railway Siyuan Survey & Design Group.The KNRR forms part of the GCC rail network. GCC railway projects have been progressing with renewed impetus following the Al-Ula declaration signed by the six member states in January 2021.  (ICE KUWAIT)
