Baltona, a part of the state-owned PPL Capital Group (core business: management of Polish airports), closed 2022 with a record result of approx. EUR 7,5 million of net profit.This is the result of the restructuring, after the company was taken over in 2020 by the PPL Capital Group. The results of the first half of the year also clearly indicate increases in revenues. The first data of 2023 prospect an over 35-40% business growth. Baltona has been operating for 77 years, initially supplying ships. In the 1960s, the company began cooperation with LOT Polish Airlines. Currently, the company focuses on three business pillars - retail sales for passengers (travel retail), gastronomy (F&B) and shipchandling.Baltona Group employs about 750 persons and manages 38 stores in Poland. Its duty-free shops and catering outlets work at the airports of Katowice, Modlin, Radom. The next ones should open within next weeks in Rzeszów, Poznań and Zielona Gora.
