In 2024 Poland is to introduce a new emission tax for owners of combustion engine cars, and the move is part of a broader effort to discourage citizens from using vehicles that contribute to environmental pollution. Although the exact amount of the new tax is not known yet, in all probability it will be calculated based on a combination of factors, including the car’s production age, which determines the emissions norms met, as well as CO2 and NOx emission levels.
