Indonesia proposes to create a tourism fund like Singapore and Saudi Arabia to promote excellence and sustainability. The fund would prioritize Indonesian culture and eco-friendly, sustainable and quality tourism. Tourists will be measured based on quantity, quality and length of stay, local spending and job creation in tourism and the creative economy.The government will update the Tourism Law next year, setting a funding target of IDR 1 trillion.
