The National Bank of Poland (NBP) has presented the report on Poland’s balance of payments for Q2, 2023 and the report shows that in this period the share of exports of transport equipment and parts in total exports increased to 20.3 percent compared to 15.9 percent in the year-earlier period. According to the central bank, as in the first quarter of 2023, the biggest growth was recorded in items including lithium-ion batteries and commercial vehicles. The report presented by the NBP also shows that in Q2, exports of agricultural products and investment goods rose considerably more slowly than in the preceding quarters. The former category grew by 6.8 percent y/y compared to 29.7 percent in Q1, 2023 and the figure for Q2 was the lowest since Q4, 2019. (ICE VARSAVIA)
