KazTransOil ships Germany 590,000 tonnes of Kazakh oilThe volume of Kazakh oil pumped through the system of trunk oil pipelines of Transneft PJSC to the Adamova Zastava oil delivery point for onward shipment to Germany totaled 589,600 tonnes from January-September 2023, the national operator of Kazakhstan trunk oil pipelines KazTransOil said in a press release.KazTransOil plans to ship 100,000 tonnes of Kazakh oil to Germany, the release said."KazTransOil confirms the availability of the technical capability to transport 1.2 million tonnes of Kazakh oil towards the Adamova Zastava oil delivery point for further delivery to Germany, but the actual volumes of oil transportation depend on the requests of oil companies," the information says.As part of the current intergovernmental agreement between Kazakhstan and Russia dated June 7, 2002, in December of last year, KazTransOil sent an application for transit in 2023 of 1.2 million tonnes of Kazakh oil through the Transneft network towards the Adamova Zastava delivery point for onward shipment to Germany.In February 2023, KazTransOil shipped the first batch of Kazakh oil in the amount of 20,000 tonnes to Germany.As reported, on September 27, during the visit to Kazakhstan of the President of Transneft PJSC, both an agreement on the provision of services for the transportation of Kazakh oil in transit through Russian territory in 2024 and an updated memorandum of cooperation between Transneft and KazTransOil were signed.Previously, the annual transit of Kazakh oil through the Russian Federation was about 15 million tonnes.
