Gaz-System, which manages Poland’s gas pipelines, has signed agreements with the Maritime Office in Gdynia and the Port of Gdańsk Authority to cooperate on the construction of a floating LNG terminal in the Gulf of Gdańsk. It is an important step towards the realisation of an investment that will improve the possibilities of importing liquefied gas to Poland. The project involves setting up a floating storage regasification unit (FSRU) capable of offloading, storing and regasifying liquefied natural gas (LNG) as well as providing additional services in the Gdańsk area.
