According to the latest Emerging Europe IT Competitiveness Index, Poland ranks third out of the 23 countries in the region, after only Estonia and Lithuania, and first in the region for talent. Meanwhile, a report drawn up by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) shows that the sector employs more than half a million people and its exports are worth ca. EUR10bn, which represents 1.7% of GDP and which has increased 2.5 times since 2015. The data compiled by the PARP also show that in Poland there are 100,000 IT companies, of which 2,500 employ more than 10 people, and that the main recipients of IT products and services include the US, the UK and Germany.
