The latest data from the Central Statistical Office (GUS) show that in September 2023, sold production of industry declined by 3.1 percent y/y and grew by 8.4 percent m/m. After eliminating seasonal factors, last month sold production of industry shrank by 0.9 percent compared to September 2022 and grew by 0.9 percent compared to August 2023. The figures compiled by the statistical office also show that in September this year, a decline in sold production of industry was observed in 23 sectors of the economy out of 34, in particular in manufacture of furniture (down by 15.7 percent), manufacture of electrical equipment (down by 15 percent) and manufacture of paper and paper products (down by 14.1 percent).
