Tokayev and Macron discuss sensitive issues concerning energy and other areasFrench President Emmanuel Macron has discussed with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev a number of sensitive issues relating to the energy and other sectors.“We have discussed a great many important and sensitive issues concerning energy, cooperation between pharmaceutical companies, and concerning agriculture,” Macron said at an expanded meeting held at the residence of the Kazakh president in Astana.According to the French president, cooperation between Astana and Paris can be called strategic.“This year we celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Strategic Partnership Agreement. France is ready to become a key partner of Kazakhstan,” he said.The French delegation that has arrived in Astana together with President Macron includes representatives of 60 French companies seeking cooperation with Kazakhstan.“We very much hope that we will lay the foundation of new historic partnerships today,” Macron added.
