Kazakhstan and France to create working group to implement joint projectsAstana and Paris have agreed to set up a working group to enhance cooperation in various economic sectors, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.“We need to ensure coordination of joint projects at the ministerial level in order to implement scheduled activities successfully. I have proposed that we should create a special working group for this purpose,” Tokayev said in a joint statement adopted following talks with Frech President Emmanuel Macron in Astana on Wednesday.Kazakhstan and France are carrying out important projects in such industries as energy, nuclear energy, mining, mechanical engineering, aerospace and the production of building materials and pharmaceuticals, the Kazakh president said.“We pay special attention to the development of trade and the enhancement of investment cooperation. Mr. Macron and I have stressed the importance of carrying out projects in such sectors as agriculture, raw materials, car manufacturing, logistics, light industry, healthcare, innovation, finance and others. This is especially important in the current complicated geopolitical and geo-economic situation," Tokayev said.Kazakhstan and France have sealed a number of cooperation agreements as a result of the talks between the presidents of the two countries.
