Chairman of Turkmennebit (Turkmen Oil) State Corporation Guvanch Agajanov, speaking at the International Conference "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan - 2023", presented new projects in the oil and gas industry concerning Turkmenbashy complex of oil refineries and Seydi complex of oil refineries.Future projects at Turkmenbashi Refinery include an extensive renovation of the millisecond catalytic cracking reactor regenerator unit with upgraded internal devices and linings, as well as the creating of a convection-type reforming unit for hydrogen production. The Seydi Refinery plans to establish an atmospheric distillation unit, incorporating an electric desalting unit, with a projected capacity of 1 million tons annually. Furthermore, there are plans to construct a unit to produce nitrogen, oxygen, and argon at the refinery.The State Concern Chairman also added that the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea has more than 18 billion tons of oil equivalent.
