According to the report Trade Profiles 2022 prepared by the World Trade Organisation, in 2021 Poland was a number 22 exporter in the world while according to the latest data compiled by the economic information bureau InfoMonitor, in H1 of 2023 Polish exports totalled EUR176.4bn, up by 4.9% y/y, with imports down by 4.3% y/y to EUR169.8bn. InfoMonitor’s data also show that Polish exports are driven by the automotive, agri-food as well as metal industries, however, more than 5% of companies operating in these sectors already have debt in the total amount of PLN3.2bn.
