KazTransOil supplied 690,000 tonnes of oil to Germany in 10 monthsKazTransOil JSC (KTO), a subsidiary of KazMunayGas, pumped 690,000 tonnes through the Transneft pipeline system to Germany in January-October with an additional 100,000 tonnes planned for delivery in November."In the first ten months of 2023, KTO transported 690,000 tonnes of Kazakh oil to Germany through the Transneft's trunk oil pipeline system to the Adam’s Outpost oil delivery point," KTO said.The company has also scheduled an additional shipment of 100,000 tonnes for November."In December 2022, KazTransOil submitted a request for the transportation of 1.2 million tonnes of oil for 2023, confirming its technical capability to handle this volume annually to Adam’s Outpost for onward shipment to Germany," KTO said.Kazakhstan initiated oil exports to Germany via the Druzhba pipeline as part of its strategy to diversify oil export routes. In 2023, the Kazakh company KazTransOil received a quota from Transneft for pumping 1.2 million tonnes of crude oil to Germany.In August, Karachaganak Petroleum Operating, which operates the Karachaganak field development, said it had plans to pump 1.2 million tonnes of oil via the Druzhba pipeline in 2024.In late October, Kazakh Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliev noted that Kazakhstan could boost oil exports to Germany from 1.2 million tonnes to 2 million tonnes per year via the Druzhba pipeline.
