Ethiopian Airlines has officially unveiled its dedicated power substation, with a capacity of 40 megawatts of electricity, to effectively address power disruptions. The construction of this power station, which took approximately two and a half years to complete, represents an investment of USD 9 million.Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, Mesfin Tasew, highlighted the significance of this development, revealing that the airline previously lacked its own electricity distribution system. He emphasized the challenges faced during power outages and stressed that the newly inaugurated electricity distribution system will effectively eliminate these hindrances.
