Dariusz Mazurkiewicz, CEO at Polski Standard Płatności, the operator of BLIK, has said that in Q3, 2023 BLIK users carried out 455 million transactions to the tune of PLN63bn, with the figures for the first nine months of the year totalling 1.3 billion and PLN171bn respectively. As noted by Mazurkiewicz, e-commerce accounts for 50 percent of BLIK transactions, with BLIK users having made 227.9 million e-commerce transactions in the July to September period this year, which means that the number of e-commerce transactions via BLIK rose by 28 percent y/y. The total value of e-commerce transactions via BLIK reached PLN31.2bn, with the average value of a single purchase online standing at PLN137. (ICE VARSAVIA)
