The National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced last Thursday the export of the first shipment of Erawin crude oil. This shipment is produced from the Erawin field of the Zallaf Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Company.The first shipment totalled 600,000 barrels and was shipped from the port of Zawia last Tuesday.Production at Erawin started last MarchCommenting on the maiden export from its field, Zallaf said production operations began last March as part of the early production plan from the wells of the Erawin oil field.The production was enabled through the cooperation with Akakus Oil Operations Company, as the production of the Erawan field is exported through the Sharara field of Akakus Company.It is worth noting that production from the Erawin field began at a rate of 3,000 barrels per day last April, reaching a rate of 6,000 barrels per day this November.
