KAZAKHSTAN-PRESIDENT-AGREEMENTS-SIGNING

Kazakhstan inks investment agreements at COP28 in DubaiPresident Kassym-Jomart Tokayev took part in the signing ceremony of multiple agreements between Kazakh government agencies, businesses, and international companies at the World Climate Summit COP28 in Dubai, according to the head of state's press service.Kazakhstan and the UAE signed an agreement for a 1 GW wind power plant. The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan, Samruk-Kazyna JSC, and the UAE Ministry of Investment agreed on a memorandum to develop 10 gigawatts of low-carbon energy capacities in Kazakhstan.Qazaqstan Investment Corporation and ADQ signed a partnership memorandum. Another agreement involves the Government of Kazakhstan, Aktas Energy LLP, and TotalEnergies for a 1 GW wind power plant project with a 300 MW/600 MWh battery storage system in the Mirny area, Zhambyl region.Samruk-Kazyna JSC and ACWA Power agreed to jointly develop a project for constructing wind power plants totaling 1 GW, including an energy storage system. Samruk-Kazyna also signed an agreement with Presight.AI to establish a joint venture for implementing projects in digitalization and information technology.Additionally, KazMunayGas JSC and AD Ports Group signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a ship repair and shipbuilding enterprise in Kazakhstan. NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC and Abu Dhabi Ports Group agreed to create a joint venture.A memorandum of cooperation for forest-climate projects was signed by NCE Atameken, SAFC LLP, and SEFE Marketing & Trading.Kazatomprom JSC and Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation inked an agreement for the supply of natural uranium concentrates.
