The Food and Agriculture Organization, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, and in partnership with the International Fund for Agricultural Development and the World Food Programme, launched the project “Enhancing resilient livelihoods and food security for host communities and Syrian refugees in Jordan and Lebanon by promoting sustainable agricultural development.”The cost of the project in Jordan is estimated at $3.1 million. It will provide grants to smallholder farmers and/or farmer groups, so that it will support 1,150 vulnerable families from Jordanian host communities and Syrian refugees financially and technically, and will help create 1,500 new jobs.
