PROPERTY PRICES CONTINUE TO RISE

An analysis conducted by the Polish Economic Institute (PIE) on the basis of data compiled by propertly.io shows that at the end of 2023, the average price of new flats sold by property developers exceeded PLN11,400 per square metre, which represents an increase by more than PLN1,000 compared with December 2022. The PIE also notes that in the second half of 2023 the demand for flats surged following the rollout of the scheme of state-subsidised housing loans with a fixed 2-percent interest rate on 1 July 2023. Meanwhile, as shown by an analysis conducted by the Credit Information Bureau, during the first four months of the operation of this scheme, 2-percent home loans accounted for 44 percent of all home loans granted in that period.
