The value of the agreements signed by the European Investment Bank last year to support the Jordanian private sector and other vital projects amounted to 357.3 million Euro, including 150 million Euro for the National Water Carrier Project. According to the EIB’s data obtained by Al Mamlaka, the European Union Bank provided 150 million Euro to the water transport and desalination project from Aqaba to Amman (the national carrier) during the past year, bringing its funding for the project to 350 million Euro in two years, including a grant worth 50 million Euro from the European Union.
