BAGHDAD TO BUILD SIX NEW BRIDGES

Baghdad Municipality has announced the building of six significant bridges in the capital, after completing the first phase of decongestion projects.Director-General of the Projects Department at the Baghdad Municipality, Qadhan Al-Waeli, told the state-run Iraqi News Agency (INA):"The Projects Department contributes on multiple fronts to alleviate congestion, opening new roads, rehabilitating existing ones, and addressing the delayed movement in streets undergoing rehabilitation, which is crucial in relieving congestion ..."There are six highly important bridges in Baghdad that will be launched after completing the first phase of decongestion projects."The Projects Department also has a strategic and vital road underway, which is the completion of the Sinbad Road to the Tawitha area. Additionally, there are ongoing studies for expanding the Abu Nawas Road, another crucial and vital route, along with other roads on the eastern side to alleviate congestion."Al-Waeli added that, "these projects will witness initiation and completion during the current year and the beginning of the next year."
