BEST BUSINESS PRACTICES EARNS CMA ISO 22301 CERTIFICATE

 In its continuous commitment to business continuity and adherence to international best practices, the Capital Markets Authority has successfully obtained the ISO 22301 certificate.This international certification attests to the Authority’s dedication to implementing the highest standards of business continuity management, encompassing all its operations, as well as its main and backup data centers.Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al-Mulhim, the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Capital Markets Authority, emphasized the structured and effective approach taken by the Authority to achieve this milestone.The ISO 22301 certificate reflects the Authority’s capability to manage disruptions, restore crucial operations, and sustain essential functions during emergency events. Regular testing has been conducted to ensure preparedness and continual enhancement of the business continuity program system.International auditors from Bureau Veritas conducted a thorough review, confirming the Authority’s compliance with ISO 22301 standards.The review occurred in two stages: the initial stage, from July 30 to 31, 2023, involved scrutinizing documents and verifying their alignment with technical requirements.The second phase, conducted between November 19 and 23, 2023, focused on ensuring the implementation of these technical requirements within the authority’s work environment.Al-Mulhim highlighted that the acquisition of this certificate instills confidence among investors and partners in the Kuwaiti financial market.
