Imports of petroleum derivatives registered a year-on-year improvement of 5.7% during the first six months of2023.  Imports of petroleum derivatives recorded 2,516,977 metric tons in the first six months of 2023, up from 2,382,183metric tons in the first six months of the year prior, as released by the Central Bank of Lebanon.  This improvement comes following a drop of petroleum derivatives import in the year prior of 26.1% registering  3,224,260 metric tons in the first six months of 2021.
