INFLATION TO RISE AFTER HITTING LOWEST POINT IN Q1
According to the preliminary data released by the Central Statistical Office (GUS), in December 2023 inflation decelerated to 6.1 % y/y, 0.5 % points less than estimated by economists, while according to National Bank of Poland's (NBP) in late Q1, 2024 inflation may fall even below 3 %, i.e. close to the inflation target of 2.5 %.
